Black hat SEO refers to a set of practices that are used to increases a site or page's rank in search engines through means that violate the search engines' terms of service.

  1. Invisible Text. Invisible text is any text that search engines can read, but users can not.
  2. Doorway Pages. Doorway pages are pages on a website that are loaded with keywords but have poor page content.
  3. Keyword Stuffing.
  4. Code Swapping. Code swapping is submitting a text-only version of a web page to the search engines in an effort to gain high rankings for that page. Once the desired positions within the search engines are achieved, the search engine-friendly text page is swapped out for a content page designed for human visitors.

Black hat SEO is actually anything that violates the search engine guidelines. It can lead to your website being deindexed.

You have to beware of black hat seo like fire. The use of such techniques is very risky.

Black hat SEO is a practice against search engine guidelines, used to get a site ranking higher in search results. These unethical tactics don't solve for the searcher and often end in a penalty from search engines. Black hat techniques include keyword stuffing, cloaking, and using private link networks
