Google tag not connected

by @Olwar (125), 3 weeks ago

So I am trying to connect my Google tag to my website but it is not connected. And I get this message:

"“Google Tag: not found”.

I have no idea what to do from here or how to install it correctly.

Here’s how you can fix the "Google Tag: not found" issue in 3 simple steps:

Check Tag Installation: Make sure the Google Tag code (G‑tag) is correctly pasted into the section of your website's HTML. You can get this from Google Tag Manager or GA4 setup.

Use Tag Assistant: Install the Google Tag Assistant Chrome extension to verify if the tag is firing correctly and troubleshoot any errors.

Clear Cache & Wait: Sometimes changes take a bit to show up. Clear your browser cache and wait a few minutes, then check again using Tag Assistant or your Google dashboard.

Double-check that you’ve added the full Global Site Tag (gtag.js) code in the section of your HTML and make sure you’re using the correct Tag ID.
