Google ranking decreases

by @shufle (192), 4 weeks ago

I have a website where all the SEO has been optimized, when Google automatically re-crawls it. then my website ranking dropped drastically and it took 7 days to come back and in 10 days it will be re-crawled again then it will go down again, so I can return to the initial position in only 2-3 days, what is the reason for that? even though everything has been optimized, how come every time it is crawled it drops drastically even though there is no penalty or anything like that?

Improve the quality of content to resolve the issue. Hope you are following the Google Analytics for bounce rate etc.

What do you mean by improving quality? I've checked my SEO score, it's already good at 85+. what needs to be improved? Is there a technical problem or something that caused the decline?

Have you followed the guidelines of Google Core Update 2024?

Hi @shufle, The quality improvement in terms of SEO implies here is, check whether the content is generated by using AI.

the content is not created by AI, every time the position rises it won't be crawled for about 3 days in the future then it will fall again, I'm confused about how to solve it, is it because of the 304 cache?

It's possible that your website's ranking fluctuations are due to Google's algorithm updates or changes in competitors' strategies. Sometimes, even optimized websites experience temporary drops in rankings. Monitoring analytics and staying updated on SEO trends can help identify patterns and strategies to mitigate these fluctuations.

A decrease in Google ranking can occur due to various factors such as changes in search engine algorithms, increased competition, technical issues with the website, declining content relevance, or a decrease in backlink quality. It's essential to regularly monitor ranking performance, identify the root cause of the decrease, and take appropriate measures to address it, such as optimizing content, improving website speed, or enhancing backlink quality. Adapting strategies to meet evolving SEO best practices and user expectations can help regain and maintain higher rankings over time.
