Could the drop in clicks via Google be permanent?

by @eliasbielaski (112), 1 month ago

I work with a blog for a technology company. The focus is on selling a digital solution.

Since April, I noticed a very significant drop in hits, even though the site has maintained authority and gained a considerable number of new keywords.

It is also important to highlight that we did not lose any keywords that brought traffic/conversions.

In short, there was no decrease in the site's SEO. There were a lot of improvements.

My question is: could this drop in clicks be something related to the use of AI for research?

Example: more people using ChatGPT and other AIs as a search engine and fewer people using Google.

No, it is not permanent. It looks the drop in traffic is because of competition. Competitor's analysis is recommended. This will lead to where and what should be improved in on-page and off-page SEO. Improvement in user experience will reduce the bounce rate and the traffic to the site can bounce back.
