Why is Google ignoring Title Tags created with All-in-One-SEO for customer's site?

Hi, I got a request from a customer to take a look at their Wordpress-website for SEO-purposes. One of the first things I discover is that in the SERP Google is only showing the title of the Wordpress pages, and not the Title Tag defined with the SEO-plugin they are using – which is All-in-one-SEO for Wordpress.

For example, the Title Tag is: Commercial Law | GP Law Firm But the SERP only shows: Commercial Law

When I run Screaming Frog on the site it shows the title tags created by the AIOSEO-plugin, but for some reason they are ignored by Google in the SERP.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

They use the webpage builder Divi for WP – might it be some kind of problem with that?

Would changing SEO-plugin to Yoast SEO be a good idea?

All comments and advice are welcome.

Regards, Gustav Bergman, Sweden

Sometimes Google uses the internal linking text or H1 text on the page etc. as the page title in the SERP. In other ways, there is nothing to worry about for the title. This happens when this or related to this keyphrase is searched in the search engine.

Don't worry my friend, I had this problem too. BUT the solution is nothing as this is totally up to Google that what it shows in SERPs. All you have to do is to keep creating useful content. Hope this helps :)
