What is the difference between plagiarism and duplication? Any tool avaliable online?

Plagiarism is when you copy and paste someone else's work basically. Duplicate content is having the same thing on multiple pages.

I see a lot of sites that are copying the work of other sites. Don't exactly know who is the original but I am sure it will bluff Google. Well, I don't think it is good to have such an approach.
