SEO - Google Search Results
Hi, all I recently updated my site url from protocol.domainname to protocol.subdomain.domainname However, since the change, Google search results are not displaying the title correctly; instead, it shows 'untitled' as the search results title. Can you help me understand and resolve this issue?
Your question is not clear.
Have you moved your site from example.com to sub.example.com?
What is not showing correctly? Page titles? If so, what can you see on such a page, when you check the title tag in the code?
The meta title of my website isn't showing correctly on Google. Instead of displaying the actual title, it just says "untitled" in the search results. Even though I've added a title on your website, it's not appearing correctly when people search for it on Google.
So you didn't have any title there, and fixed it later? It may help to either wait for Google to recrawl OR force recrawl/reindex either by requesting in GSC or earning a backlink to that page, just like @binayjha suggested.
How about the URL change? What's the story?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a vital strategy to improve your website's performance on Google search results. To enhance your site's visibility, you need to optimize your content, meta tags, and build quality backlinks. Targeting relevant keywords and providing a seamless user experience are crucial elements in climbing the search engine rankings. Effective SEO can drive organic traffic, establish your online presence and credibility, and help your website stand out in the competitive online landscape.
Certainly! Google might need time to recognize the changes. Ensure your site's metadata, especially the title tag, is accurate. You can use Google Search Console to request a re-indexing, which may expedite the process. If the issue persists, seeking advice from the community or support forums could provide additional insights.
