Seeking Advice on Domain Strategy

by @SoniyaJonas (125), 7 months ago

I have been working on a domain, and its traffic has decreased by 80% since the update almost a year ago. There has been no improvement despite continued efforts. Would it be better to shift to a new domain, or do you have any other ideas for this?

If there isn't any manual action on the domain, there is'nt any issue to work on it. Just keep the keywords intact and with time, it will start getting the traffic as well.

Should we change .com to .org?

Consider conducting a thorough audit to identify the underlying issues that are causing the traffic drop. If efforts to reinstate a domain fail, a strategic move to a new domain can be beneficial to revitalize your online presence and audience engagement.

Before considering a domain shift, have you thoroughly analyzed the update's impact on SEO and user experience? Sometimes, the issue might be more about adapting to the update's requirements, like improving content quality or site speed, rather than the domain itself.

If your domain's traffic has dropped by 80% since the update nearly a year ago and efforts to improve it haven't worked, shifting to a new domain could be an option worth considering.
