How Do I Change My Website Page Content That Shows Up On Google Search?
Hello! When searched on google, the different pages on my website show up with subtext that I do not want to be presented as it is. I cannot provide an external link on this thread but if you search "Harvest film co" on google, you should see in the search results my business with its website pages underneath it like this:
"ABOUT," "— · MEET THE TEAM · JAY-J SCHUSTER · ALEXANDER ..."
"CONTACT," "Skip to Content. HARVEST FILM COMPANY. HOME · WORK ..."
"WORK," "Skip to Content. HARVEST FILM COMPANY. HOME · WORK ..."
I want to know how I can locate to change this text underneath each page title and whether it is directly through google somewhere or a place in my websites settings on squarespace, which I used to create my website? I know some of that text is being taken from my website but is there a way I can tell google to use something different? I'd love to clean up this text and make it more presentable when my business is searched online.
To change the text that appears at the bottom of your site's pages in Google search results, you must update each page's meta description. Typically, this can be done with a website's content management system "CMS" such as Squarespace. Log into your Squarespace account and go to each page's settings to edit your meta description. Make sure it accurately reflects the content of your page and is appealing to your users. It may take some time for Google to reflect these changes in search results.
To change the page content that appears in Google search results:
- Access the page you want to modify on your website.
- Look for the section where you can edit the page content.
- Find the field or option that allows you to edit the meta description or page snippet.
- Update the text in this field with the desired content.
- Save or update the page.
- Wait for Google to crawl and index the changes, as it may take some time for the updated content to reflect in search results.
By following these steps, you can adjust the page content displayed in Google search results.

To change the content that appears on Google search results for your website page, you need to update the corresponding page content on your website. Make the desired changes directly on the webpage itself, ensuring it reflects the updated information you want Google to display. After updating, wait for Google to crawl and index your website again, which usually happens automatically over time. You can expedite this process by requesting Google to recrawl your updated page using the Google Search Console. Once Google indexes the changes, the updated content will start appearing in search results. Remember to optimize your page content with relevant keywords to improve its visibility and ranking on Google.
