Google Webmaster data is totally different from reality, Why?
I have a website (KumarHarshit.in) on which I upload Google Updates news and information on a regular basis. As I am seeing, I am getting impressions, and the position is at the top for some words as well. But when I am checking manually, there is no ranking. Anyone can guide me on why this is happening.
Thanks Harshit Kumar
There can be many reasons for the scenario,
- Ranking has been flashed and then disappeared.
- The GSC reflects the average ranking. If that row is clicked then more in-depth data is shown for clarity.
- All data servers might not have been updated. This is why you are not seeing the results.
For a better result, improve the DA of the website.
Google webmaster data may appear different from reality for several reasons, including data processing delays, sampling techniques, algorithm updates, data aggregation from various sources, and data filtering to remove invalid clicks or impressions. These factors, combined with the complexities of data collection and interpretation, can result in discrepancies between reported metrics and actual website performance.
