Godaddy to wordpress hosting

Hello everyone

I'm a psychologist and blogger and set up my website around 2.5 years ago. At the time I used Godaddy site builder and whilst the website is doing ok from a SEO point of view, I realise I would be better to have wordpress hosting. I understand this is better from an SEO perspective and also if I am able to achieve ad revenue later on.

I'm really struggling to understand what would be the best way to move over to a wordpress site? I've looked into this several times and I'm overwhelmed by the options and I'm struggling to understand what would be best for my site.

Goadaddy have been very unhelpful and just keep trying to upsell, which is annoying!
