GMB has crashed my site

by @okconor12 (114), 1 year ago

So i had a website for a year when I started SEO and it had 5 location gmb. I had to change the domain after hiring some dodgy SEO services.

I bought a new domain and after 8 weeks everything was flying upwards fast. On the 19th I added back those GMB from the old domain. The website was basically the same.

From the 19th the site has organically taken a massive nose dive losing over 70% of traffic and positions. 6 days ago I removed my new site but the downward trend has not stopped.

Has anyone heard of a some sort of penalty being transferred through gmb. my old site didn't have a manual action but it definitely was penalised.

Keep doing the good works for local SEO, you might get the lost trust in a month or two.

I had a situation like this once.

Publishing regular images and news at GMB helped also to regain trust.
