Facing Core Web Vitals issue.
Hi everyone, my website was going pretty well and I could feel like its getting even better after every update. But suddenly, I LCP scores increased, although my pages were already in "Need Improvement" category but then Google put them in "Poor" category.
I fixed the issues and then my LCP went to around 1.5s but Google again put my urls into "Need Improvement" category instead of "Good".
Another strange thing I have noticed is that, in the Desktop section of Core Web Vital in Google Search Console there is not url. Not in "Poor", "Need Improvement" nor in "Good" category. Its been more than a month, I lost my traffic by almost 90% and its not getting back.
Any assistance would be highly appreciated!
It sounds like you're facing a complex issue with your Core Web Vitals. Here are a few key areas to check:
Server Performance: Ensure fast server response times (TTFB). Slow server response can impact LCP. Image Optimization: Compress and use modern formats like WebP. Lazy load offscreen images. Render-Blocking Resources: Defer non-essential JavaScript and optimize CSS to avoid blocking content from rendering. Third-Party Scripts: Audit external scripts (ads, analytics) that might be affecting performance. Desktop vs Mobile: Review your desktop version to ensure it’s equally optimized as mobile. Use Google Lighthouse: Run regular audits to spot technical issues affecting LCP. Reporting Delays: Sometimes Google Search Console takes time to reflect improvements, so give it a few weeks.
