did our SEO team do this right?
Hi, we outsourced our SEO to a team we're and not sure they are doing things right.
They created four service pages off the home page (I am happy that is the right thing to do), but they didn't update the links from the home page to these new service pages. They only updated the location of the new pages in GSC, and they were indexed from domain/wp-sitemap-posts-page-1.xml
What is standard SEO practice? Should they have updated the home page links so users could find the new service pages, or just update GSC?
Thanks in advance for experienced answers
The service links should be provided from the home page and from all other possible pages to take maximum leverage of UX and SEO.
thanks for that. They said this is their strategy, and they will update the links in a month. I can't see any sense in that and it looks like they have just messed up
"Messed up", is a harsh feedback. You can ask them to implement it now at least for the UX purpose.
Yes, our SEO team executed the task effectively, conducting thorough keyword research, optimizing on-page elements, and building quality backlinks.
