Changing url address good or bad idea?

Hello- I have been working on a website on and off for about 4 years. I’m liking to change the business name and change the url address. As an example I’m changing the name from
Selecqt.com to select.io
How will this effect he website traffic, SEO and algorithm ?

There is no harm in changing URLs. The old URLs should have 301 redirects to the new corresponding URLs. Otherwise, the SEO efforts will be lost with the loss of domain name.

What is the motivation behind the change? If only for aesthetics, it does not change the www address
