Cannonical Tags and Backlinking Relationship Problem
Hi everyone,
My question is that i put the same my blog article on medium.com which was already on my website blog page and added cannonical tag on medium.com. Everything is okay until here.
But my doubt is that is the blog article that is on medium.com going to be a backlink for my website?
Is it going to affect my website possitively as a backlinking task? Or just stand like a neutral?
If the content in Medium.com has a backlink to your website's page then only it will be counted as a backlink. Only content will not be treated as backlink of your website. Better, start having backlinks from the Medium Blog.
Sorry, i couldn't understand. I wrote the same content in the Medium but i gave a cannonical tag in medium blog for the original blog article that is in my web site page.
Is everything okay like this way?
Also, i can't find every backlinks in google search console. Do u know why?
Yes @Cahit, everything is fine in that way.
The backlinks from noindex, nofollow type of pages are not shown in Google Search Console. That means, please check whether such linking pages are crawlable or not.
crawlable linking pages that you meant are on my web site right? they might be nofollow, noindex etc.
No. The web page from where your website is linked can be noindex, nofollow etc.
So, you mean medium?
Yes, we can say so.
what is interesting that i can see just one backlink which is from medium on google search console.
And why the blog articles that i wrote on medium are onfollow, nofollow etc. Is it something that Medium has set to?
Yes, the Medium set it so. You can find more information here,

Guest posting is the best way to go through. For the easy things, I have just posted 5 example links here, https://www.seoforum.com/thread/blog-post-rules.
