Can anyone shed some light on how a business can do check-ins within Google, after completing services at a location, in an effort to improve local business listing results?

I have seen it offered through seo agency forms, etc that apparently do it for a fee, but I am looking for DIY instructions to accomplish this task.

Trying to confirm why I am seeing query strings at the beginning of sites domain within analytics reports? Ie, ?/https://domain.com and ?/https://domain.com=, I am assuming this is being caused by something being incorrectly setup through adwords or due to the use of a vanity url?
