The performance of disposable gowns was compared using several tests. In terms of water resistance and hydrostatic pressure, multiple-use gowns had higher scores than their disposable counterparts. The tests also included measurements of strength, elasticity, and resistance to tear and piling. The reusable gowns far outperformed the disposable gowns in all tests.
